Seymour M. Weaver III, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Seymour M. Weaver, III, M.D. completed dermatology residency training and began practicing in Houston, Texas in 1982.

A pioneer for the treatment of problem skin with lasers, and esthetic treatments,   Dr. Weaver is specifically recognized for his expertise in anti-aging dermatology, treating hair loss and scalp disorders, laser treatments, body shaping procedures in addition to medical and surgical dermatology.

He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine.  He completed an internal medical internship at Los Angeles County/USC medical center and dermatology training at Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Center in Los Angeles.  He studied tropical dermatology in Nairobi, Kenya at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Dr. Weaver is board-certified, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and numerous other professional societies.

Taking a proactive approach to help meet the challenges associated with hair and scalp disorders in the African American community, he has authored the book Dr. Weaver’s Black Hair Loss Guide: How to Stop Thinning Hair and Avoid Permanent Baldness to provide critical medical information about these conditions and work to eliminate the distress and discomfort that they cause.
